Advent Devotional – Week 1, Day 2 Waiting in Hope
Isaiah 40:31

Reflection
Waiting is one of the hardest parts of faith. We want resolution, but God wants transformation. In Advent, we wait not with despair but with expectation — knowing that the One who promised is faithful.
Hope doesn’t remove the wait; it gives it meaning. Every day of anticipation becomes an act of worship when we trust that God is working in the silence.
When you feel impatient this week, remember: God often does His deepest work in the waiting room.

Prayer
Lord, teach me to wait on You with trust.
Renew my strength as I hope in Your promises.
Help me see Your purpose in the waiting.
Amen.

Questions for Reflection
- How are you being asked to wait on God right now?
- What helps you stay patient when God seems silent?
- What might God be teaching you through this season of waiting?
Encouragement for the Week
