Advent Devotional – Week 2, Day 1: Peace in the Chaos
Mark 4:39–41
“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’
Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.”
Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.”

Reflection
The disciples panicked when the storm hit, forgetting who was in their boat. Jesus’ presence didn’t prevent the storm—but it brought peace within it.
Peace in Christ isn’t the absence of trouble; it’s the presence of trust. No matter how fierce the waves, His voice still says, “Be still.”
Today, pause and invite the Prince of Peace to quiet your anxious heart.

Prayer
Jesus, speak peace into my chaos today.
Help me remember that You are greater than every storm.
Calm my spirit and strengthen my trust in You.
Amen.
