Advent Devotional – Week 2, Day 2: Peace through Surrender
Philippians 4:6–7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Reflection
Peace begins when we stop trying to control what only God can handle. The path to peace is paved with prayer and gratitude.
When we release our worries into God’s hands, His peace guards our hearts like a sentry on duty. The world’s peace depends on circumstances; God’s peace depends on His character.

Prayer
Father, I surrender my anxiety to You.
Guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Replace my fear with faith and my worry with worship.
Amen.
Guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Replace my fear with faith and my worry with worship.
Amen.
Questions for Reflection
- What worry do you need to place in God’s hands today?
- How does prayer change your perspective?
- In what area of life do you need His peace to guard you?
Encouragement for the Week
