What Are We Teaching

GLOW IN THE DARK: A 5-Week Series from the Gospels on Easter.

SERIES OVERVIEW:
In the dark, a world of neon colors comes to life. Whether it’s the soft green of glow-in-the-dark stars or the bright colors of bioluminescent creatures, light can break through the darkness. When the world needed some light, God sent Jesus because he glows in the dark, and he can teach us how to shine with God’s light, too! In this five-week series through the Gospels, we’ll follow Jesus’ life leading up to Easter to see some of the ways he can shine bright in our lives. As we explore, we’ll see Jesus is the light in the darkness. We’ll also learn how we can choose Jesus and know God hears our cries while celebrating how Jesus died and rose again!

Meet the team.

Wendy Morrow

Children Ministry Head
My name is Wendy Morrow and I started here at Laughlin Community Church in 2014. The Lord laid it on my heart to teach children back in 2004. I have been blessed to teach many different ages of children throughout these years. Children are our future and need to be nurtured. This is my verse that inspires me.

Mark 10:13-16
“People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. Theresa Buster

Nursery
My name is Theresa Buster. I am a mother of two children and a grandmother of four grandsons. I grew up in Cypress California. I worked for and retired from Albertson’s where I worked for 38 years and moved out here to Laughlin, Nevada in 2018. I became a member of this church four years ago and I’m so blessed to have Jesus in my life.

Kristin Rowe

Nursery
Hi, my name is Kristin Rowe. I moved to Bullhead City in 2007 from Minnesota to teach kindergarten in the BHCESD. At first the Mohave desert was very strange for this prairie farm girl but became more like home once I found this church.  I feel so welcome here and enjoy helping assist with the children in the nursery.  I'm so thankful I can worship and serve our Lord here in this community.

LaVern Schafnitz

Nursery
Hi, my name is LaVerne Schafnitz. I started attending LLC in 2011. I’m a retired nurse. I’ve always had a love for children. I have many great grandchildren, but I am unable to see them as much as I would like. I think that’s what led me to wanting to help in the nursery. I’ve been doing that since 2015. Psalm 127:3 Behold children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
