Women's ministry

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

Proverbs 31:25

Women’s Ministry centers on meeting the spiritual needs of Christian women and helping them to grow in their faith in Jesus Christ. The word ministry comes from the Greek word 'diakoneo' literally meaning “to serve.” Women’s Ministry exists to serve women and to teach women how to minister to others. It is action-based and focuses on living a Godly life with guidance from the Bible. "To provide for the Women of LCC and the surrounding community a place of belonging, healing, purpose, prayer, and for rest in our "Lord Jesus Christ."
"To create an atmosphere of Love, where Women can lean on each other by simply enjoying life through activities, fellowships, and being themselves."
"...Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Tim 4:12

Myra Ortiz

Women's Ministry Coleader
Hi, my name is Myra Ortiz. I am a Wife, Mom, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. My husband and I moved from California (born and raised) to Laughlin in 2017 and found Laughlin Community Church and immediately became members. We love serving the Lord where ever HE takes us. My favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.“

Hi, I'm Judi Newcomb, and became a born-again Christian back in 1984. I moved to Laughlin in July of 2011 and attended this on my second Sunday in town. The love I felt that day told me this was where my Lord wanted to serve!! I'm looking forward to working with the women of Laughlin Community Church!
