Music Ministry Mission & Purpose

Our Mission - To lead the congregation of Laughlin Community Church into the presence of God through authentic, excellent, Spirit-led worship, supporting the preaching of the Word while fostering an environment where believers can love God, love others, and make disciples. 

Our Purpose

We exist to serve the church, not to perform for it. Our purpose is to use the gift of music to:
  • Glorify God - Offering our best in preparation and execution as a sacrifice of praise.
  • Edify the Body - Creating a musical atmosphere that helps the congregation engage with biblical truth.
  • Support the Word - Curating songs and transitions that reinforce the sermon theme and Scripture. 

Our Goals

  • Spiritual Authenticity - We prioritize the heart of the worshiper over the perfection of the performance. We aim to lead from a place of genuine devotion to Christ.
  • Musical Excellence - We strive for excellence (not perfection) because God deserves our best. This requires consistent personal practice and intentional team rehearsal.
  • Team Unity - We commit to "Christ-shaped unity" within the team—serving one another with humility, resolving conflict biblically, and praying for each other regularly.
  • Consistency - We are reliable servants. We prepare our parts, communicate availability clearly, and show up ready to serve the body.

We are always recruiting singers, musicians and technical staff to join our Music Ministry.  Rehearsals, auditions and orientations are conducted weekly as needed.
