The Power of the Tongue

Our words are small, but they have enormous power. In James 3:1–12, James compares the tongue to a bit, a rudder, and a fire to show how something so small can direct our lives and cause tremendous destruction.

James also confronts the contradiction of praising God while using the same mouth to tear down people made in God's image.

The question isn't simply, "Am I saying bad things?" The deeper question is, "What do my words reveal about my heart?"

In this message, we explore how genuine faith changes the way we speak and how we can surrender our words to Christ so they bring life instead of harm.
